Problem Identification:
Allen recognized this issue after noticing a pattern of customer concerns and complaints. He observed that a large group of potential customers, such as work permit holders and refugees, were being turned away because they didn’t meet the requirements for a secured credit card, which created a barrier to building credit and establishing a relationship with the bank.
